目薬の疑問

I usually use eye lotion.
The other day, I began to use the new one as I used up the former one.
Then, an instruction of the new eye lotion came into my sight.
It explains the number of uses per day, five or six times.
When I noticed it, I thought about how long is it the intervals and try to calculate.
Although, I was not able to do it.
Because a numerator can't specify.
A day explained in the instructions can't determine which 24 hours or hours except for sleeping hours.
If a day is 24 hours, the interval would be 5 or 6 hours, if a day is except sleeping hours, intervals would be about 3 hours.
Incidentally, a sleeping hour is 16 hours which I defined uniquely because a human being should sleep 8 hours generally.
If 5 or 6 hours is correct, a user uses it while sleeping and I can't agree.
If so, a day is an except sleeping hours.
In fact, which is right or there is another answer?
